The French court has banned Google's digitization of works without permission of the publisher and has condemned the Internet giant to pay 300,000 euros in damages. A Paris court convicted the company for 'fake' books published by French publishing group La Martiniere. Gives the reason and the group owner of Le Seuil (third publisher in the country), which had sued Google over the Google Books project in France.
